I'm aware that most of the characters I depict end up wearing summer-looking clothes - all the better to exhibit leg casts & pot bellies, of course.
For a little variation (though not departing from the main themes, of course - perish the thought!), I thought it worth trying to clothe the models in more seasonally-appropriate outfits. Autumn's great for a bit of colour, all those lovely earth hues - burnt oranges, plums, olivey greens, russets, golds, etc, far too good to pass up on using, so...

Autumn also presents the opportunity to depict a few accessories too - hats, scarves, gloves, woolly tights, boots, etc - & try to suggest other textures like wool & tweedy type things, all nice features & challenges to depict for a change.

Also tried something of a first with the socks covering the ends of the leg casts, to keep the damp off those little toes - being very attracted to toes & especially those that happen to be peeping from the end of leg casts, I'm very reluctant to obscure them but these circumstances seemed to suggest the requirement to do so...it's not likely to happen very often again in the future...

There's something seasonal about those pot bellies too, suggestive as they seem to be of autumn harvest bountifulness - why not indulge & lay down a little fat in preparation for keeping out the winter chill..!
